In classic films of the western genre, the action takes place in the American Wild West in the 19th century. The conflict usually unfolds between a gang of criminals, representatives of the authorities and bounty hunters. As in a conventional action movie, the dispute is resolved through violence, which is inevitably accompanied by gunfire. In westerns there is an atmosphere of aspiration for independence, characteristic of the inhabitants of the western part of the United States.

The French "new wave" is directly associated with the work of J.L. Godard - "On the Last Breath"; F. Truffaut - "400 blows"; A. Rene - "Hiroshima, my love." The films of these directors were characterized by improvisation, reportage, which enabled artists to depict the absurdity of the world, the cruel laws of society that oppress the individual. Ukrainian cinematography was started way back in 1896, more than 125 years ago. The first film was shot by Alfred Fedetsky in Kharkiv in 1896, but it was not like the cinema we are used to.
